Sesquicentennial Medal

The Sesquicentennial Medal commemorates the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia.  The medal was created on November 17, 2010 by the decree of Prince Philippe.  

The medal is made of gold-plated brass and bears on its obverse a portrait of King Orelie-Antoine I, surrounded by palms, with the caption above: 150 AÑOS REINO DE ARAUCANIA Y PATAGONIA.  Below the portrait are the words: REY ORLLIE-ANTOINE IER.  The dates 1860 and 2010 flank the portrait.  The reverse of the medal bears the image of a kultrun, a traditional Mapuche drum.

The ribbon bears the colors of the flag of the Kingdom -- blue white and green -- surrounded by red and blue.centennial Medal commemorates the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia.  The medal was created on November 17, 2010 by the decree of Prince Philippe.

This medal was designed by Klaus-Peter Pohland, Count of Coronel, Vice-Chancellor of the Kingdom.

This medal will be issued, with a diploma, to individuals supporting the cause of the Royal House.
