Philippe Paul Alexandre Henry Boiry was born in Paris on February 19, 1927. Jacques-Antoine Bernard (Antoine III) abdicated in favor of Philippe on May 12, 1951. Philippe married Jacqueline-Dominique Marquain (b. 1927) on June 24, 1950. Princess Dominique died July 10, 1978. In 1996, Philippe married Elisabeth de Chavigny. Princess Elisabeth died January 21, 2006. Philippe, who used the style Prince Philippe, had no children and named his successor as Head of the Royal House of Araucania and Patagonia in a written act known to his Council of the Kingdom and Council of State. He was the head of the Royal House of Araucania and Patagonia since May 12, 1951. Prince Philippe lived in Paris and maintained as a secondary residence La Cheze, the ancestral home of King Orelie-Antoine I, outside the village of Chourgnac d'Ans.
